There is a sign for the Grundy Forest Loop which would get you to the turnoff also but would take longer. The Fiery Gizzard trail is next to a lovely creek with a number of cascades. The trail is quite rocky and you do have to watch your step.

Fiery Gizzard Trail is a 738 m singletrack trail located near Tracy CIty Tennessee. This multi-use trail can be used both directions. Sycamore Falls is located in the Fiery Gizzard region of South Cumberland State Park. The trailhead is located just past Tracy City Elementary School on Fiery Gizzard Road. There is a large parking lot with restrooms at the trailhead. Start your hike at the south end of the parking lot. This area of trail is known as the Grundy Day Loop trail.
